Cognitive behavioral therapy is a unique approach to mental health in that it is performed in a structured way with a finite number of visits, allowing the patient to make the most of a strategic individualized healthcare plan. Part of the strategic individualized healthcare plan presents the patient with helpful and beneficial lifestyle changes, which include but are not limited to: abstaining from certain foods, drugs, chemicals, toxins, stressors and the like.
